Zinc plating is avery wear-resistant, generally cost-effective coating on steel and other heavy parts that is typically used as a sacrificial coating that wears before the part itself.

The coatings for zinc plating are applied to protect surfaces from corrosion. The zinc plating coatings are provided in four standard thickness classes. Zinc plating coatings are sampled, prepared, tested and conformed accordingly to specified requirements as to appearance (luster and workmanship), thickness, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and hydrogen embrittlement.
