Aluminum Conversion Coating
H&W Global Industries offers a chromate and a hexavalent chrome-free, RoHS-compliant aluminum conversion coating depending on the needs of the customer. Alodine® and Irridite® are commonly used terms for conversion coating of aluminum.

Prior to coating, the base metal is mechanically or chemically cleaned to make sure a water break-free surface is obtained after rinsing. Abrasives containing iron such as steel wool, iron oxide, rouge or steel wire are never used for cleaning operations. Treated parts that have become soiled are cleaned with materials that will remove the soil without damaging the base metal, the part or the conversion coating.
If the coating is damaged, the damages are re-cleaned and recoated or the part is rejected upon inspection.
We offer a chromate conversion process free from hexavalent chromium and compliant with the requirements set forth by Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and The Restriction of Hazardous Substance Directive
Our company is proud to offer non-hexavalent chrome and lead-free products to our customers as perfect alternatives for most applications. These alternatives not only help to ensure compliance with ELV (End of Life Vehicle), and WEEE Directives but are the environmentally "right" and responsible way to finish products for our future.
Proven process-control inspections ensure the high level of quality H&W Global Industries consistently delivers on our aluminum conversion coatings.
