Metal Pretreatment
Metal Pretreatment is an important step in our coating process. H&W Global Industries provides a variety of metal pretreatment services including mechanical preparation, pickling, conversion coatings, passivation, black oxide, zinc phosphate plating and titanium conversion coatings.
We utilize this method when the objective is to remove all rust and mill scale; abrasive media blasting is used for metal preparation. Other preparation methods are employed as needed.
This involves our utilization of a special cleaning step for parts used in the nuclear industry, where meeting requirements is extremely critical.
We can provide a chromate conversion coating or a chromium-free, RoHS-compliant conversion coating depending on the needs of the customer.
Passivation of Stainless Steel
We handle all types of passivation of stainless steel, utilizing both nitric and citric acids.
We are one of the few companies offering black oxide services for stainless steel. Black oxide on stainless steel produces a durable black conversion.
Zinc Phosphate coatings (fine or heavy grain) are another of our options.
We offer a fluoride phosphate chemical conversion coating for titanium alloys.
