H&W’s industrial hard-coat and soft-coat aluminum anodizing services provide proven process control, allowing us to deliver the highest levels of anodizing quality and consistency. Anodizing can be applied to a variety of aluminum parts and components and offers a choice of finishes and colors, depending upon the customer’s specifications.
The coating achieved through anodizing may be decorative (soft-coat), or it may be applied for mechanical strength (hard-coat). Coating color choices are unlimited and can be customized. If no coloring is desired, the coating may also simply be sealed, in which case it will appear silver (referred to as "clear anodizing").
The anodizing process is essentially controlled oxidation of a light metal. Anodizing is most often performed on aluminum and aluminum alloys, but can also be applied to magnesium, titanium, and other metals. Anodizing brings value to aluminum parts by creating a uniform aluminum oxide layer, which is the hardest of all surface finishes. Anodized aluminum is excellent for both indoor and outdoor applications. It is corrosion resistant and provides a surface that ensures satisfactory adherence of paint and organic finishes.
Our anodizing service includes the following steps and can be customized for your specific metal and desired coating type:
