Mechanical Preparation
H&W Global Industries adheres to the standards set forth by The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) for mechanical prep and metal preparation.
Used when the objective is to remove all rust, coating, and mill scale, near-white metal sandblasting is used as a mechanical metal preparation method.
Before mechanical prep or metal preparation, visible deposits of oil, grease, or other contaminants are removed. Surface imperfections such as sharp fins, sharp edges, weld spatter or burning slag are removed from the surface.

Only clean, dry, compressed air is used for nozzle blasting. Moisture separators, oil separators, and traps are used to achieve this requirement for mechanical prep.
All mechanical prep and metal preparation is inspected upon completion to ensure the high level of quality our customers expect.
